Riverside Holidays Norfolk Broads – Potter Heigham

The Local Area

Sunray Riverside lodge is a perfect choice for riverside holidays in the Norfolk Broads. There are shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk of the cottage. If you tire of sitting on your own private deck watching river life, there are loads of things to do in the local area. On your doorstep in Potter Heigham you will find beautiful walks, great fishing and boating. Everything you could wish for from a riverside holiday in the Norfolk Broads.

Paddle boarding and kayaking are very popular on the river but you need to purchase a short stay licence if you want to enjoy this hobby while you stay in our riverside cottage. Licences can be purchased online at Broads Authority or you can pop into Herbert Woods office (very close to Sunray!) and get one. They are £8:50 for a week

As the surrounding area is nice and flat, it’s brilliant for getting reluctant children into the saddle and out on a picturesque family bike ride. If the kids want something more exciting, Bewilderwood, Norfolk is just 7 miles away and Wroxham Barns only 10. There are lots of family things to do close by. You can find more details on our page Best Places to Visit in Norfolk Broads. The cathedral city of Norwich is half an hours drive away, and the attractions of Great Yarmouth and the beautiful North Norfolk coast are all on your doorstep.
