Potter Heigham Riverside Cottages – Sunray

The Cottage

Sunray is one of the Potter Heigham riverside cottages you may have already seen if you’ve been on a boat trip down the River Thurne or taken a riverside walk. We fell in love with the Potter Heigham riverside cottages when we first started visiting the area. Sunray has direct riverside access to the North West river bank of the river Thurne. Just a short walk to the Herbert Woods Boat Yard, approximately 5 minutes, along a path and footbridge to the back gate of the lodge. Please take note the frontage is not fenced so please take care with small children.

The lodge has recently been renovated to a very high specification and is equipped with everything you need for a wonderful riverside break. The lodge is very peaceful as access is by footpath only – there is no vehicular access to the lodge. The lodge may not be suitable for wheelchair users due to the unmade/uneven path and steep footbridge. If you have any accessibility requirements please contact Kelly before booking to discuss. Sunray has a parking space available for guests in the car park on Bridge Road, it is between the bridge and the Nippy Chippy – you can park anywhere in the car park by displaying the provided permit.

Sunray is located just a 5 minute walk from the amenities, Bridge Stones cafe, Lathams (they sell everything you could possibly want and things you didn’t even know you wanted!). Fantastic fish & chips at ‘Nippy Chippy’ and Norada Grill and Tavern, the local pub which serves food. Sunray is strictly no smoking, please.

Dogs are welcome by prior agreement with Kelly. Please note there is an additional charge for doggy guests – 1 dog £25 2 dogs £40. This charge needs to be added on the ‘extras page’ If you have more than 2 dogs please call Kelly to discuss.
